City Gate expands Board of Directors
Kathie Lansing, David Levi, Alvaro Duran, Woody Mack, Franklin Busby and Lynn Bergfalk have three things in common: They have a passion for urban ministry, serve on the City Gate board of directors and live in the DC metro area.
That equation has just changed! This month the board added two new members — expanding not only its size but geographical reach! Patti Stratton hails from Houlton, ME. She is a nurse by profession and currently serves on the General Board of the American Baptist Churches USA.
The Rev. Rickey Letson is the Minister of Christian Education at Immanuel Baptist Church in Paducah, Ky. Rickey's ministry also extends beyond the local church, including an active role in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. He has twice brought Urban Hands mission groups to the Johenning Center. Patti also has come to DC twice for City Gate mission programs.
We welcome Patti and Rickey to our team! Their gifts and leadership will expand our ministry as well as our relationships with ACB and CBF churches and mission groups.
