Thanks to all who made our Caribbean Festival and Fall Open House a Success
Rev. Tony Brown looks on as food is served at the open house.
Saturday, November 4th, 2006 City Gate hosted a Caribbean Festival and Fall Open House at the Johenning Center. Parents, children, volunteers and friends of City Gate were invited to visit the Johenning Center, meet City Gate staff, learn more about our programs, and enjoy excellent food and fellowship. We started the evening with a welcome and information about City Gate, by our executive director Dr. Lynn Bergfalk, and then were let in prayer by the pastor of Metropolitan Outreach, Rev. Tony Brown. A wonderful, authentic Caribbean dinner was then served, followed by a special key note speaker: Mr. Mark Tatum, Project Reality. This was followed by a performance from Metropolitan Outreach Children's Choir, led by Ms. Cleo Mosley and a talk about City Gate programs from Kristin Wiener, our programs director, and Theodra Washington, our Manager of Operations.
Lachae, LaShaun, and Marquice Wilkins enjoy Caribbean food.
