A Touch of City Gate's summer at Atlantic Gardens/Southern Hills

During the summer months City Gate at Atlantic Gardens experienced some beautiful times with staff, youth and families. We had some good times and some bumps along the way, but the program was awesome. We had daily enrichment activities such as math, reading, art, music, step, biblical studies and science programs such as BEEP, Magnets and Motors, Floating and Sinking. The children's faces lit up as they experienced these programs and learned many wonderful things.

We also had mission groups that came in and shared their time and love with us. They brought in arts and crafts activities and one mission group did a concert and carnival for us. Wow! How exciting is that? We also went on several trips this summer; the following are a few of the trips we went on: National's baseball game, DC United soccer games, National Zoo, Oxon Run Swimming Pool, parks and playgrounds, NASA Space Center, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Anacostia Museum, Claggett Farm to see what's it like to grow your own foods, Annapolis Trip for a cruise, and Splash Down Waterpark. We had a cookout and our step team performed at the National Night Out here in Washington, DC.
