Summer Youth Service Corps
Every year City Gate has served as a host site for the DOES (DC Department of Employment Services) Passport-to-Work program, placing as many as 20-40 youth as assistants for our summer day camps. This program creates an opportunity for DC youth to gain valuable job and life experience matching youth ages 14-18 with host businesses and organizations in several areas of career interest. Each summer, in addition to assisting our summer day camps, youth spend time day focusing on youth development activities, such as job readiness, career exploration, college prep, community service, and leadership skills.
