Rev. Loretta Jones is the interim Director of the 21st century program at the Johenning Community Center and the Virginia Merrick Center. They are both located in SE Washington and serve residents in ward 7 and 8. The Johenning Center houses students from grades 1-4 and Merrick Center houses the middle school youth grades 5-8. Rev. Loretta Jones is the interim Director of the 21st century program at the Johenning Community Center and the Virginia Merrick Center. They are both located in SE Washington and serve residents in ward 7 and 8. The Johenning Center houses students from grades 1-4 and Merrick Center houses the middle school youth grades 5-8. At Johenning there are about 65 young people and they come from three schools in the neighborhood. Merrick houses about 25 students who also attend neighborhood schools.
